Personal Mentoring for “CA students” at aspire academy

The pass % in Chartered Accountancy course is very low making it one among the difficult courses in the country. Students those who scored 90% + in class 12 also find it difficult to clear as one needs to pass all the papers in a group with an aggregate of 50 % in one sitting to qualify. Failure even in a single paper leads to attempting all the papers again after 6 months. This reduces the confidence level of students thereby questioning their capabilities.

From my 16 years of teaching experience, I have observed that the major reason for failure is not the intelligence but the adoption of incorrect strategies and absence of personalized guidance.

There is a common myth that attending coaching classes with premiere coaching institutes will automatically guarantee the success in the CA examination. Unfortunately, it's not true. Attending coaching classes is just one step in the entire process. Alongs ide coaching classes, every student needs to have a personal mentor who would guide and coach the students till the exam. Further, one need to focus on the ideal Teacher - Student ratio when choosing an academy and the extent of personal attention they would get.

Lets take a step back and analyze. For a simple course like Class 12, the students are put through a military regime both at school and at home. They undergo weekly tests, cycle tests, monthly tests, private tuitions etc. Ironically, none of the above steps are followed while pursuing CA course.

We at Aspire Academy have personally mentored many students considered "ordinary and have achieved "extra -ordinary" results. Our Institute delivered fantastic results in the recently conducted CA Foundation and Inter examination. The pass % in the CA Foundation examination was 52 %. Out of 23 students, 12 students passed the examination. 6 out of 7 students who used the study hall passed the CA Intermediate examination.

Parents and students should give more weightage and importance to Teacher - Student ratio and personal mentoring when choosing an academy to pursue CA course.
